MirandaNet BETT Newsletter January 2010
Dear MirandaNetters
The annual BETT Exhibition will take place this year from Wednesday 13th January to Saturday 16th January. We hope to see many of you on the MirandaNet stand at BETT10 this year.
We suggest four additional events where we can also meet, one for each day of the show.
Members are warmly invited to contribute to the two MirandaMods we are holding on our BETT10 stand (Stand S97) followed by refreshments.
1. Wednesday 13th January 15:30 – 17:00 ICT CPD: Personal and Professional Perspectives
2. Thursday 14th January 15:30 – 17:00 Digital Content and Resources for Teaching and Learning: the Issues
Five minute talks, without slides, are invited to stimulate round table debate followed by refreshments. You are welcome to stay for the full session or just pop in. Let me know if you plan to be there.
You will find the information and the subsequent resources on www.mirandanet.ac.uk/mirandamods
3. TeachMeet Friday 15th 18:00 – 21:30
TeachMeet is going to be held on Friday at BETT (15 January) from 6pm – 9pm in the Keynote Theatre.
100 people have already signed up to attend, with plenty giving seven minute micro and two minute nano presentations. You don’t have to contribute if you don’t want to, but are more than welcome to get up and share your experiences with the crowd.
