2Simple have won another prize at the BETT Show 2007

2Simple’s journey began in 2000 when it set out to provide high quality and simple educational software for Nursery and Primary School children.

Since 2002, 2Simple has regularly produced award winning programs. Highlights include:

Now in 2007 the journey continues for 2Simple, winning the BETT Award for ‘Best Early Years Solutions’ with Simple City, a fantastic program with ten exciting locations for FS and KS1 children to explore. A fun way to stimulate language, listening, creative play and collaboration.

Maths Games 1 was also highly recognised with a special commendation for Digital Content (Primary Core).

2Simple is delighted to win such a prestigious award; this is a direct reflection of the positive support and feedback from its users in schools.

The 2Simple team believe that software should be used to enhance children’s creativity in order to make a difference to teaching and learning. The BETT award this year has proven that 2Simple is continuing to achieve this.

From 2Simple - New for 2007!

These four brand new programs continue 2Simple’s mission to provide creative, powerful educational software for the primary age-range. As ever, these come with a wealth of resources including support videos packed with teaching ideas and usage tips.

2Paint A Picture
Everyone can be an artist with this art software specifically designed for children in the Foundation Stage to Year 6. Eighteen templates take children on an artistic journey from early exploration of pattern making, to virtual drippy wet paint to exploring well known artistic styles such as Pointillism and Impressionism. Learners experiment with a variety of brush styles and pattern making templates and can make use of the helpful digital mannequins which help give them a sense of proportion. Older children can create powerful effects with the digital picture editing tools too. The support videos which accompany 2Paint A Picture give a large selection of easy-to-follow ideas, providing useful links with the Art and ICT curriculum.

Maths City 1
Early Years children can explore practical maths through five curriculum areas in this virtual world: Transport, Space, The Farm, Shops and Outdoor Play. From racing and sorting cars to running a toyshop or designing their own rocket ship, children are in control of their mathematical choices. Videos from adult experts and children role-playing the topic introduce young learners to mathematical vocabulary. Children investigate maths through creative play or differentiated activities, supported by spoken or sung instruction videos. Practitioners can use the resources and drop-down question prompts included to help children develop skills in speaking and listening as well as both collaborative and independent work.
