Study

As a background to this study: a qualified teacher of Drama/English since 1986. Over 17 years experience of teaching in schools in and around London. Have been a Head of Department and have completed an M.Phil Drama. Currently studying emoderation. I am still learning about online communities.

The role of the e-moderator is a key element of e-teaching and e-learning in Salmon’s 5-step model. This study explores Salmon’s model and relates it to the actual experience of e-moderation in a range of educational online communities. This study is based on research and personal experience of participating in online discussion forums.
