In 2014-2015 MirandaNet will be partnering several of our associates in iCatalyst research projects where teachers as co-researchers investigate the value of e-learning products and services in order to establish evidence of achievement for OFSTED and Pupil Premium.
Events
As well as the iCatalyst research programme, we will be increasing the opportunities for professionals and our associates to network and to debate the value of digitally enhanced learning.
We have organised several networking events that provide platforms for companies to present their research in 2015:
21st/24th January, BETT15 when we will be on the DfE stand and presenting on several panels. We will also be giving two seminars at the LearnLive theatre on 21st Wednesday am followed by a MirandaNet lunch.
24th February Policy ThinkTank event at LKL with the International Baccalaureate organisation, ITTE and IFIP to debate how to introduce young people to the kind of digital wisdom that will enable them to be successful citizens in tomorrow’s constantly evolving digital landscape.
March 25th/26th Naace conference in Nottingham running ICatalyst research sessions
June 30th/July 1st : Digital Education Show (London)
We are also partnering the London Knowledge Lab, Institute of Education in the 2014/2015 series of What the Research Says.
New website
We are excited that our readership is growing by 12% a year.We will be highlighting the profile of our associates in more detail on the new website that will be soft-launched in January. There will also be a place for associates research reports on the front page as well as current news and articles. We aim to raise our global readership and therefore the exposure of our companies. We will be asking your opinion on the draft.
Workshops for associates
We will be organising associate networking dinners in 2015 where we can explore further ways in which we can work together. Let us know as well if you are interested in workshops about research into products and services and effective awards submissions. We have been running these for BESA companies as we are in negotiation with UKTI and Naace about organising more of these workshops that have been very well received. You can read more about these workshops here.
