and the iCatalyst team includes:
- a core team of visionary and committed educationalists who are experienced in running versions of this programme;
- an internationally respected research team with a strong background in the theory and practice of work-based research;
- technicians to set up and adapt the required web environment(s);
- experienced managers, project managers and administrators to ensure successful delivery of project objectives and outcomes;
- staff tutor mentors and field tutors, all of whom have a significant role in the professional development of educators.
Members of the team include:
- Dr. John P. Cuthell Research and Implementation Director MirandaNet Academy
- Christina Preston International Chair, MirandaNet
THE PARTNERS
The iCatalyst programme has been developed by the MirandaNet Fellowship
and is currently accredited at Bath Spa University. MirandaNet will continue
to develop the programme for the specific groups that participate as well
as overseeing the links between these groups. This team will design the
web spaces, direct the modules, deliver the modules, train the local field
tutors, support the building of e-communities and the knowledge base, organise
the internal and public events, maintain the internal quality assurance
procedures and co-ordinate quality assurance arrangements.
The costs are negotiated with the school when the numbers are finalised and the topic is agreed. The costs range from £500 – £2,000 per head depending on the length of the programme, the level and the numbers of teachers involved.
Further Development
Following the implementation of a successful pilot, MirandaNet would wish to work in partnership with ACADEMIES to create a full Masters-level programme that is sustainable and replicable with potential for ACADEMIES delivery personnel to create a regional operation across the whole of their networks, and with opportunities for ACADEMIES I to be a franchised by Bath Spa University to offer professional qualifications.
It should be noted that in order for participants to gain accreditation at Masters level, they would have to register as students with Bath Spa University. This would be at additional cost to that quoted within this project proposition.
