Notes for theme leaders and panel members
In the new Excel location in the East London Docklands, MirandaNet members and friends will be welcome each day to join us in the MirandaNet room where there will be tea and coffee available and space to meet and rest*. Please register for your own ticket here.
If you are a theme leader or a panel member please send a 200 word abstract on your general approach to the issue under discussion with any links to other materials you want to recommend to educators. Panel members are also welcome to submit information about themselves and their interests. Our abstract section is an important resource for people who cannot attend BETT13. All talks will be also videostreamed for our colleagues who cannot get to BETT13 this year. We plan to video the MirandaMods for the archive.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday there will be short discussions of key topics under the theme of the day. Please look carefully at the time as they vary each day. We are leaving time for networking and ‘drop in’ demos so please keep to your allotted time and network informally with those who want to ask questions afterwards.
There is a MirandaMod unconference in which everyone is welcome to participate from 1630 – 1730 on 30th, 31st January and 1st February . At 1800 those who stay will be welcome to gather together for supper at a restaurant nearby: cost about £10-20.
On Saturday the formula will be different as all the participants will be educators exchanging curriculum ideas and we have a packed programme of shorter discussions. At the end we have a Think Tank where we are looking for digital solutions to raising achievement and improving behaviour. Do you have the answers?
MirandaNet members and friends will also be welcome to join us for an early supper after the Saturday show at about 1630 (about £10-20). Please you let me know if you will be there as I have booked a MirandaNet table.
* Please note we will not have space for anyone to leave coats and bags.
