Blogs: an alternative to the traditional essay

Posterous

Innovative ways of producing text encourage pupil involvement through creativity, collaboration and a sense of a wider audience for their work. In this case study pupils explain how they use Posterous, email/blog software, for revision in History – and to produce documents other than conventional school essays. Pupils work collaboratively, access the program from home and can show their work to their parents. Posterous is described as ‘a dead simple way to put things online’.
