An international, cross-curricular exploration of Space Science, through on-line learning tools

Lawrence Williams, of The Holy Cross School, New Malden, (a designated Science Specialist College) devised this exciting project following the success of the school's previous "Japan 2000" collaboration with NASA. The project embraces a wide variety of technologies, and has involved pupils in the UK and in Japan interacting with NASA scientists in the US. A truly multinational project!

The following five schools, from across three continents, took part in the pilot project of STAR.

They were linked by bridging units through Baylor University, Texas, and NASA Glenn LTP, Ohio by ISDN and IP videoconferencing, and the final event was also webcast by NASA.
